The Juvederm family of products are hyaluronic acid fillers, similar to Restylane products. In its natural form, hyaluronic acid is a sugar found in the skin and joints. Hyaluronic fillers are synthetic, biodegradable versions of these naturally occurring sugars and are considered to be extremely safe. Juvederm XC is a smooth gel that is used to effectively restore volume and smooth facial wrinkles and folds. It is an excellent product for the under-eye area, along the nasolabial folds (also known as "smile lines"), and for use in lip augmentation. Juvederm Ultra XC Plus is a more robust version of the Ultra variant and is used in cases that may require a thicker product. Juvederm Voluma XC is the newest filler in the Juvederm family and is used to add volume to the cheek area. We have been waiting for this product for a long time. It's a great filler for the cheeks—the essential place to fill for any filler patient.

Downtime: 2-3 for days for swelling and redness, bruising may last 2 weeks. Please follow our pre-appointment guidelines to help prevent bruising.

Maintenance: Overall results may last 6 months to 1 year. Juvederm Voluma has been shown to last up to 2 years. Generally, we recommend periodic touch-ups to help prolong the effects.

Our "expert injector" Lizette is responsible for the excellent lip plumping above. It's a real art, requiring a fine touch.
