The Restylane family of products are dermal fillers used to add volume and fullness to the skin to correct moderate-to-severe facial wrinkles and folds. Restylane is an excellent product for the under-eye area (also known as the "tear trough") to help improve the appearance of dark circles and hollows. Restylane Lyft, formerly called Perlane, is a more robust version of Restylane, used in cases that may require a thicker product to fill deeper folds of the face, such as the lines from your nose to the corners of your mouth (nasolabial folds).

A breakthrough in lip filler, Restylane Silk allows us to add fullness and dimension back to the lips in a really natural appearing way. We've been waiting for this product in the US for some time, and we are thrilled that it’s here. You can think of it as a little more delicate and lighter than some of the other lip products. It’s ideal for someone who already has thinner lips and is worried about adding too much volume or someone who just wants to try lip filler for the first time. I love using it in younger patients who just need a small amount of volume and definition. It’s also amazing for those pesky vertical lip lines above and below the month that appear over the years. It can also be used for fine lines elsewhere on the face.

Similar to Juvederm, Restylane products are hyaluronic acid fillers, and as such, can be used interchangeably with the Juvederm products—some injectors prefer one over the other, but in general they can both accomplish the same goals. Hyaluronic acid (HA) occurs naturally in our skin and helps to provide fullness and elasticity. However, as we age, the amount of HA in our skin diminishes, resulting in loss of volume and increased chances for wrinkles and folds to appear. Dermal fillers can help restore that loss.

Downtime: 2-3 for days for swelling and redness, bruising may last 2 weeks. Please follow our pre-appointment guidelines to help prevent bruising.

Maintenance: Overall results may last 6 months to up to 1 year. Generally, we recommend periodic touch-ups to help prolong the effects.
